Sorry I’ve been a bit lazy with the updates. Work has picked up a bit and I’ve been spending all my free time either looking on the internet or in real life for apartments. I’ve come to realize that if I want a place to live I’m gunna have to lower my expectations and raise my budget. Oh well, one way or another I’ll find something because living on the street isn’t even legally an option here. I don’t know what they’d do if they find me sleeping on the streets, but we all know by now that it won’t be a caning 😦

The highlight of my weekend was definitely a trip down to Marina Harbor on Saturday night with Alice. We started at a bar on the boat shaped rooftop of the Marina Bay hotel. The view was spectacularly beautiful and the drinks were spectacularly expensive. I’m talking $24 for a glass of wine people. Wowza!

Here’s a picture the Marina Bay Sands hotel. See the building with the boat on the top? That’s hard to miss.

Here’s a view from the top.

We had one glass of liquid gold here and moved across the bay to the Fullerton Hotel. In this picture you can see the Fullerton Hotel. It’s the short older building with white lights.Ā

I much preferred this atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and laughed at both Alice and my jokes. We sat in a nice lounge like area that faced the water and they gave out free peanuts. Here’s our view for the next couple of drinks.

That flower shaped building is an art museum. Gotta check that out some day. And here’s one more picture of a ferris wheel, because who doesn’t like those?

Do you see the lighted track that goes around the Ferris Wheel? That’s where they are going to run the next Formula One race this coming weekend. I may head down and try and hear the loud cars drive around in circles. I doubt I can get close enough to see them.

So,when you come for a visit I’ll absolutely take you here and buy you a drink. But only one.
